MoH Begins Enforcement of 'No Vaccine Card - No Entry' Directive

The directive to disallow persons without vaccine cards to access government buildings has commenced on Tuesday, January4, 2022.

TV3's Sarah Apenkroh wh was at the premises of the MoH on Tuesday reported that some person, although vaccinated but left their cards at home, were refused access to the office.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) declared the month of December last year as the vaccination month.

Director-General at the GHS, Dr Patrick Kumah-Aboagye speaking at a press conference in Accra on Sunday, November 28, 2021, said vaccination was the surest way to deal with the virus.

He further assured that the authorities are going to scale up surveillance measures at the Kotoka International Airport during the Christmas season to ensure that COVID infections do not increase.

He further said that the mistakes that were made in December last year which occasioned the escalation of infections in January this year, will not be repeated.
